Well today wraps up TechEd 2005.  The convention center crew is tearing down the vendor Expo, today's sessions are full of repeats and it ends early, people are heading to the airport and I'm finally going back to see my baby girl and give my wife a break.

I did some hands on lab this morning, a couple in the web track and the ones related to the Tablet PC.  I got to speak with Lora Heiny and we talked about the Toshiba M200, Tecra M4 and the new Thinkpad X41T (it seems I was misled the X41T is only going to have a 1024x768 display which is too low for me).  Apparently the problems I mentioned from Eric Mack's site aren't as bad as I thought, Lora speaks with him fairly regularly.  Another positive about the M4, the Tablet PC team is moving from the M200 to M4 and all the hands on labs will be with the M4.  The M200 is still being refreshed with current processors and I think I like the 12.1" screen (and certainly the weight) better than a 14.1" of the M4, so I might try to pick up the M200.

WEB428  ASP.NET 2.0: Advanced Server Controls and Web Parts with ASP.NET 2.0, by Andres Sanabria, ended up being a great session.  Some of the stuff they're doing with the CompositeControl class is really awesome, the async tasks, etc all very cool stuff.  Nice to end on a good note.

I guess all that's left to do is find a churrascaria, an official traveling tradition of mine.  For those not in the know, it's a Brazilian steak house affectionately known as "an orgasm of meat".  There's other food but it's not worth the time, the main attraction is spit roasted meats (top sirloin, sausage, turkey wrapped in bacon, NY Strip, sirloin) that's served up by gauchos until you say stop.  Yes, gluttony at it's best, but damn is it good.
